Agile is not the target...

-"We need to become more Agile!" -("You know, EVERYBODY DOES!!!") Yes. This starts to become one of modern myths. Agile will save everything, not being Agile starts to be equal to "political incorrectness." Do not take me wrong. Agile is a great thing. It is a set of human values, working principles and useful practices that really make a huge difference. It is a proven method for getting better, faster and cheaper. It is an excellent driver for a healthy company culture. But is is NOT a target. It is just a method. You want to be good. Continuously improving. Having innovative mindset. THIS is your target. Agile is the best METHOD for getting you there.

So next time when you will hear from someone that "you must be more Agile," just smile. Because you will know :-)
